Sheffield kidnapping suspects remanded in custody

Three men have been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with a kidnapping in Sheffield.

Gamal Parsons, aged 30, of Ironside Road, Gleadless; Mubarrack Nassar Hassan, 24, of Glossop Road, Broomhill and Ahmed Ismail, 22, of Exeter Drive, Broomhall, are charged with two counts of kidnap, two counts of false imprisonment, three counts of blackmail and offences under the Firearms Act.

Parsons is also accused of two counts of possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply.

The charges followed an incident in Gleadless on Friday night.

The suspects appeared before Sheffield magistrates on Monday and are due at Sheffield Crown Court on Monday, January 26.
