Sheffield driver’s BMW seized ONE DAY after police issued official warning over driving
A distinctive BMW was seized by the police one day after its owner received an official warning about the nature of his driving.
South Yorkshire Police said the green BMW was spotted by officers on Saturday being driven ‘in an anti-social manner’.
The driver received an official warning that if spotted driving in such a way again his car would be seized.
The following day, the motorist was pulled over on Watery Street, Upperthorpe, and the car was seized.
South Yorkshire Police said: “On Saturday it was sighted with a number of others driving in an anti-social manner.
“A warning was given under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act. The driver was told quite sternly that if he carried on driving in such a manner we would take his car off of him.
“Would anyone like to guess what happened on Sunday? Yep, you guessed it, a car off to the recovery garage and a long walk home.”
