Barristers, legal staff and those connected with the day’s listed cases were forced to wait outside the court building on West Bar this morning as they awaited updates from court staff.

The court building was found closed between 9am and 9.30am.

An undisclosed report indicated there may have been evidence of a Covid-19 trace from a possible externally-diagnosed case linked to an individual at the court.

It is understood a thorough clean and disinfecting process was carried out.

The building re-opened to the public at about 1.20pm this afternoon.
