Sheffield city centre bar posts message to customers on front door after closing for one month

A city centre brasserie has temporarily shut down while it undergoes a ‘stunning’ refurbishment ahead of a grand reopening.

Browns Brasserie and Bar closed its doors ready for the upgrades to be made on January 26.

The bar, which stands on the corner of St Paul’s Parade and overlooks the Peace Gardens, is due to reopen on February 27 when it will be the venue for a spectacular relaunch night.

While the interior is undergoing an overhaul, customers can still expect the same service as usual from Browns after the reopening.

This includes lunch and evening meal menus and afternoon teas.

A statement from Browns said: “Browns Sheffield is closing for a stunning refurbishment at 5pm on the 26th January.

“Be one of the first to see our brand-new look at our grand re-opening on 27th February.

“In the meantime, you can still enjoy your favourite seasonal dishes at a Browns near you.”
