Sheffield bus driver repeatedly punched in the face by passenger after argument

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a bus driver was repeatedly punched in the face on a Sheffield bus.

The driver of the 97 bus was reportedly assaulted at 12pm on Friday, 29 May following an argument over payment when a man boarded the bus on Baslow Road, Totley as it was heading into Sheffield. A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the man “allegedly punched the driver in the face a number of times, causing cuts and bruises.”

He then reportedly left the scene in the direction of Mickley Lane.
