Sheffield boys to appear in youth court charged with spate of knifepoint robberies across city

Two teenage boys have been accused of a spate of knifepoint robberies in the city, including one to the rear of iceSheffield.

The suspects, aged 15 and 17, have each been charged with three counts of robbery.

They were arrested over incidents on Pinstone Street in the city centre on November 26, two on Handsworth Road, Handsworth, on December 6 and December 7 and one behind iceSheffield in Attercliffe, on December 11.

In addition to three robberies, the 17-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of possession of a bladed article and the 15-year-old has been charged with one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.

Both teenagers appeared before Sheffield Youth Court on Saturday, December 14 and have been remanded in custody.

They are due to appear at court again tomorrow.
