Second man wanted for shooting in Barnsley arrested
A large number of police vehicles, including a police helicopter, were deployed to Barnsley to arrest a man wanted for a shooting last Friday.
An eyewitness said five police cars and a helicopter were spotted passing through Dodworth Road off the Townend roundabout at around 6pm.
Confirming the incident, South Yorkshire Police said the resources were out for the arrest of Nathan Harrod, one of the two men wanted for the shooting.
"He has now been arrested and is in police custody," said the spokesperson.
Twenty four-year-old Nathan Harrod, who goes by the nickname 'Swampy', was hunted by the police along with Daniel Wogan, 22.
Daniel had surrendered himself to the police earlier on Wednesday (December 25).
A 31-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to his leg and was rushed to Barnsley hospital. He underwent surgery but is expected to make a full recovery.
