A SECOND suspect has been arrested over the murder of a Sheffield man stabbed to death on a city street.

Mubarak Ali, aged 23, was killed in an attack on Crowther Place, near Mount Pleasant Park, Sharrow, last Friday afternoon.

The Sheffield Hallam University student, who was studying criminology and sociology, was stabbed outside a barber’s where his brother was having a haircut.

A man walked into the shop, asked Mubarak outside, and stabbed him.

Mubarak, of Headford Grove, Broomhall, was rushed to the Northern General Hospital but died from his injuries later that day.

The 24-year-old arrested over the murder is the second man of the same age to be quizzed by detectives.

The first suspect was bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives investigating the murder want to hear from anyone who was in the London Road area of Sheffield at around 12.30pm last Friday.
