Scenes of crime officers arrive after murder in Sheffield

Scenes of crime officers have arrived in a Sheffield suburb after a New Year’s Day murder.

Officers in protective white suits are combing St Aidan’s Road, Norfolk Park, where a man was fatally stabbed at 4.20am yesterday.

They are also searching a large area of land around the street looking for forensic evidence to help detectives piece together the circumstances surrounding the murder.

Isaiah Usen-Satchell, aged 18, of Norfolk Park, was stabbed when a fight broke out between a group of men.

He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Three Rotherham men, two aged 18 and one aged 20, have been arrested over the murder of the Leeds Trinity University student and remain in police custody this afternoon.

The crime scene is still cordoned off and under police guard, with a large police presence expected for most of today.
