Sack of drugs worth £20,000 found near Sheffield School

The unexpected Christmas present was reported by staff at All Saints Catholic High School on Granville Road on Monday.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “At 12.47pm on Monday (14 December), All Saints School contacted police to report that they had found a quantity of suspected drugs on the edge of the school grounds.

“The cannabis, believed to have a street value of £20,000 was recovered by officers.

"No arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing.”

Sheffield South East NHP Darnall & Tinsley Team reported on their Facebook page:

“Patrols today have led us to a sack full of Class B drugs to the estimated value of £20,000.

“This is one parcel that won't be "wrapped" and definitely won't be going to Santa. He says the owner is officially on his naughty list.”
