Rotherham woman charged after pensioner's arm broken in £300 cash robbery

Police have charged a 31-year-old woman after an elderly pensioner was robbed at a bus stop in Rotherham.

The 89-year-old was stood at a bus stop at 1.30pm on Tuesday (November 17) when it’s reported that an unknown woman approached her and grabbed her handbag.

As the bag was wrapped around her walking frame, this caused the woman to fall- and she hit her head and broke her arm.

More than £300 cash was taken in the incident, along with keys and bank cards.

Kirsty Moxon, of Whitegate Walk, was arrested in connection with the incident later on Tuesday afternoon. She appeared in court this morning (Thursday, November 19) charged with robbery.Moxon has been remanded to next appear before Sheffield Magistrates on December 17.
