Rotherham’s District Commander has spoken at a national conference on ‘pioneering’ work being done in the town to help vulnerable young adults.

Chief Superintendent Jason Harwin was a guest speaker at the Young Adults and Criminal Justice: Implementing the Evidence conference in London, which focussed on projects aimed at 18 to 24-year-olds.

He spoke about the Together for Mental Wellbeing partnership which supports young adults at risk of offending and re-offending.

“It was a privilege to attend the conference and hear about all the excellent work being done across the country to help young people,” he said.

“By identifying the distinct needs of 18 to 24-year-olds we can help to keep them out of prison or intervene to get them back on the right track.”
