A MAN lost a tooth in an attack as he left a nightclub.

The 21-year-old, from Rotherham, had just left the Pop nightclub on Moorgate Street when he was approached by a group of men.

Police said he was punched in the face ‘without any warning’.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses to an assault that occurred on Moorgate Street, Rotherham, on Saturday August 4.

“A 21-year-old Rotherham man was out with a friend, he had just left the Pop Nightclub at approximately 3am, when a group of males approached him.

“One of the men in the group punched him in the face without any warning, knocking his front tooth out and causing a serious wound to his bottom lip.”
