Ricky Collins murder: Investigations continue over Sheffield man’s death as girl, 15, and woman, 70, are arrested

The police probe into the murder of a Sheffield man stabbed to death two weeks ago is continuing after the arrests of a 15-year-old girl and a woman, 70.

Ricky Collins, aged 31 and from Sheffield, was found seriously injured in Westthorpe Road on Monday, March 29 after police officers were alerted to a disturbance at a nearby house.

He was taken to hospital with stab wounds but could not be saved.

Bradley Ward, 24 and from Woodthorpe, Sheffield, has been charged with murder and is remanded in custody as his case progresses through court.

Two men, aged 43 and 44, have been charged with assisting an offender.

A 29-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, who were also arrested as part of the murder probe, have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Two more arrests were made last week, with a 70-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl, both from Sheffield, held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

The have been released under investigation.
