A MAN suffered a fractured skull during a night out in north Derbyshire, police have revealed.
The 46-year-old was assaulted outside a takeaway on Holywell Street, Chesterfield, on Tuesday, at about 4am.
He is being treated at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, where his condition was yesterday described as stable.
An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of wounding has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
