The collision occurred close to the junction with Church Street and residents claim a number of collisions have occurred at the same spot.

The garden wall struck last night is believed to have been hit a number of times over the years.

There are some calls for a speed camera to be installed along the road.

Posting on Facebook, one resident said it has become 'a race track’ for bikers and cars.

He added: “How long before there is a fatal here?”
