Reports of blue estate car driver attempting to 'kidnap' children in Doncaster

Reports of the driver of a blue estate car attempting to ‘kidnap’ children in Doncaster have been circulating on social media.

The Free Press has been made aware of a number of incidents in Doncaster in recent days which have been widely shared on Facebook and we have contacted South Yorkshire Police for more information.

In one incident, a motorist was said to have attempted to snatch a child in Harrowden Road, Wheatley.

In a separate incident, a similar vehicle was spotted near the Asda supermarket in Stainforth with its occupants said to be watching nearby children.

One of the incidents is said to have taken place near the Asda in Stainforth.

Both incidents are understood to have been reported to South Yorkshire Police by witnesses.

Police have not confirmed either of the incidents at this stage.
