TIME has been called on the freedom of a landlord who stole £8,000 in cash and stock from the pub he managed.

David Cox, aged 32, took money, alcohol and food when he was employed as the manager of the Cavendish Hotel, Bolsover, between November 2010 and February 2011.

He stole takings amounting to more than £6,300 and alcohol and food worth £2,000.

Cox, of Westmoreland Grove, Bridlington, also borrowed £3,000 from customers without repaying them. He was jailed for 12 months.
