Page Hall Road was the scene of police activity this week as officers executed “a series of drugs warrants” in the area, including a search on a property above a hairdressers where 200 plants were found.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following the raids.

Sergeant Tony Cartlidge, who leads the Page Hall team, said: “Each property has contained a sizeable cannabis set-up with incredibly dangerous electrical wiring, these addresses have been creating a huge risk to their neighbours and the wider community.

"We believe that these set-ups are linked to a larger organised crime network, who are exploiting people and turning what should be residential properties into money-making death-traps.”

Sgt Cartlidge added: “This type of activity is lining the pockets of criminals, it won’t be tolerated in Page Hall and we are coming after you."
