Sheffield Magistrates' Court heard on January 2 how Lee Wragg, 44, of Grimesthorpe Road, Sheffield, admitted committing three non-domestic burglaries in December and four fraud offences during the same month.

Wragg stole a charity box, a tip jar, a bank card and cash and other items after he raided three different non-domestic properties including the Crown Plaza Hotel and a staff room at the Northern General Hospital, according to the court.

Defence solicitor Geoff Flemming said it is Wragg’s addiction to drugs that causes him to commit offences.

District Judge Paul Healey committed Wragg to be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on January 23 after considering his extensive previous criminal record which includes 18 burglaries since 2016. Wragg was remanded in custody until his sentencing.
