Probe launched to locate driver after police pursuit in Sheffield

South Yorkshire Police said the pursuit was mounted after officers requested the driver of a blue Land Rover Freelander to stop on City Road as he was suspected to be driving without insurance.

A police spokesperson said: “The driver used their vehicle to force officers out of the way and a pursuit commenced.

“The vehicle was found abandoned on Jericho Street.

“Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver and his passenger.”
