Police warning after woman approached by men in white van in Sheffield

Police in Sheffield have issued a warning after a woman was approached by two men in a white van, leaving her badly shaken.

Officers said the woman had been waiting at a bus stop on Richards Road near Heeley City Farm when the incident happened last night at around 11.30pm.

“She was approached and spoken to by two males in a white van,” wrote PCSO Kenneth Blake.

“The vehicle then drove off but did a U-turn and came back towards the female again.

“The female, fearful of their intentions, made off and gained sanctuary nearby. The incident shook the lady up quite badly.

“The only description of the van was a long white Transit van with blacked out windows on the driver’s side with no description of the males involved. No vehicle number was obtained.”

PCSO Blake shared the information via the South Yorkshire Police Alerts portal in a post titled ‘suspicious activity’.
