Tradespeople across Chesterfield are being urged to make sure their vehicles are secure after a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts.

Community Safety Inspector Russ Dakin, of Derbyshire Police, said: “One very important piece of crime prevention is for people to simply lock it or lose it. Some reports of break-ins and thefts come from those who have left keys in the vehicle’s ignition or left the vehicle insecure.”
