Police called over vandalism and theft at Hillsborough Tap pub popular with Sheffield Wednesday fans
Police have been called in after thieves stole cash and vandalised fruit machines at a popular Sheffield Wednesday matchday pub.
But bosses at the venue were unhappy at the amount of time it took for officers to respond to their complaint after the incident, which happened back on Wednesday, February 11.

Bosses at The Hillsborough Tap, on Hillsborough Corner, issued their own appeal for information on social media after they gave up waiting for police to come nearly a week after reporting the incident.
They said they believed two people had stolen the cash from their fruit machines, which they said was over £600, and damaged them beyond repair.
“These bandits don’t belong to us so we not only have to repay the loss we have to pay for the repairs. They went on to be significantly abusive to the staff,” they said.
They added the had contacted South Yorkshire Police still waiting for a response almost a week later when they issued their own appeal for information.
When The Star contacted South Yorkshire Police, the force promised they would go the pub this week.
