Police officers are set to attend a public meeting tonight after a boy, 12, was shot on a Sheffield estate.

Politicians are also due to attend the 5pm meeting at Arbourthorne Community Centre, Edenhall Road, where local residents are set to discuss their concerns about violence, including gun crime on the city estate.

The meeting was organised after a 12-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting on Northern Avenue on Sunday, January 12.

The shooting is one of a number of firearm incidents on the estate over recent months.

Stephen Dunford, 25, of Fellbrigg Road, Arbourthorne, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life over the latest incident.

Two 30-year-old men arrested over the same offences have been bailed along with a 42-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
