A police probe is under way today into how a man ended up injured on a Sheffield street.

Detectives are trying to establish how the 25-year-old, who was found on Clarke Street, Broomhall, sustained his injuries.

A tent has been erected at the spot where the injured man was found - outside the Hanover pub.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police are trying to establish the circumstances of how a 25-year-old man came to be injured.

“The man was found in Clarke Street, Sheffield, at 9.20pm last night, and is currently in hospital receiving treatment.

“Initial enquiries are being carried out at the scene.”
