Police seize 4 cars in Rotherham within 24 hours after motorists caught driving unlicensed

Officers recovered four cars within the space of 24 hours in Rotherham after multiple motorists were caught driving without a full license.

Police stopped two drivers in Rotherham who were driving without insurance and while only holding a provisional license on Tuesday, December 1.

Both drivers have been reported, their vehicles seized and await a court date.

In a tweet, South Yorkshire Police Operations Unit posted: “Don't think you can drive off with your kids in the car and not think we won't wait for you to come back from the school run in @SYPRotherham #siezed”.

Officers also stopped a third motorist on Centenary Way who was driving without insurance, the vehicle has been seized and the driver issued with points and a fine.

Police also recovered a Fiesta in Maltby after a motorist was driving unsupervised and without a full license.

In a separate incident, another resident was arrested for driving while under the influence of cannabis.
