POLICE are investigating a ‘suspicious incident’ where a teenage boy burst into a stranger’s house claiming he had been attacked.

He ran into the house on Station New Road, Old Tupton, Chesterfield, at around 5pm last Wednesday, and told the homeowner of the alleged attack before being asked to leave.

A few minutes later a youth was seen climbing out of another garden on Station New Road.

Police said the youth then knocked on a door on the road and told the homeowners he had dropped something in their garden and needed to retrieve it.

The couple refused to let him into their garden and rang the police.

Officers investigating the incident are looking for a white youth in his late teens.

He had light hair and was wearing a white tracksuit top with green stripes on the shoulders and arms.

Officers want to hear from anybody who may have seen or heard anything suspicious.

Anyone with information should call Clay Cross CID on 101.
