Police want to trace two men over an assault in Sheffield which left a teenager with ‘life changing’ injuries.

Detectives were called in after an 18-year-old was attacked as he walked through Barker’s Pool.

He suffered a serious head injury in the attack outside HL Brown Jewellers at around 3.30am on Saturday, November 29.

The teenager was taken to hospital and has since been discharged, but detectives said his injuries will affect him for the rest of his life.

They want to trace two men they believe may hold vital information.

Detective Inspector Richard Partridge said: “This was a nasty and unprovoked assault that has left a young man with injuries that will impact the rest of his life.

“We have so far been unsuccessful identifying the two men pictured and I’d urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or recognises the men to give us a call.”

One of the men police want to speak to is white, around 6ft tall, in his mid twenties, with shaved or short blonde hair.

He was wearing a green or grey T-shirt with blue jeans on the night of the attack.

The other man is Asian, around 6ft tall, around 20 years old, with dark hair.

He is slim build and was wearing a red T-shirt.

Anyone with information about the incident or the identity of the men South Yorkshire Police want to trace should call should call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
