Police reveal cause of death for man found dead in block of Sheffield flats
Detectives investigating a murder in Sheffield have revealed that he fell from a height.
The 54-year-old man, named as David Hawley, died in the early hours of yesterday.
Just before 1.45am, police received a call from paramedics who had been called to a set of flats in Brimmesfield Close, Arbourthorne, after a man had been found injured outside.
Mr Hawley was pronounced dead a short time later and a murder probe was launched.
A post-mortem examination carried out yesterday, concluded that he died as a result of a head injury, consistent with a fall from a height.
A 39-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday has been released under investigation.
Officers remain in the area today, carrying out house-to-house enquiries.
