Police respond to incident on major Sheffield road after argument onboard bus

Police officers were deployed to deal with an incident onboard a bus on a busy road in Sheffield this morning.

Residents and motorists saw officers pull up alongside a bus at around 6am.

In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: “Police were called to Abbeydale Road shortly after 6am.

“It’s understood that two youths refused to disembark a bus as instructed, following a disagreement with the driver.

“The situation was resolved with support from officers and the two left the bus.”
