Ben Allen, aged 29, of Jaunty Lane, at Gleadless Townend, Sheffield, breached a restraining order by abusing an ex-partner in the street and he later attacked another former partner who had been in a relationship with him at the time, according to a Sheffield Crown Court hearing.
Judge Sarah Wright – during the hearing on August 10 – told Allen: “I find you are a danger to any woman with whom you have had a relationship.”

Mr Dinnes added that during a second incident Allen had been trying to get in touch with his new partner at the time on May 2 and they had argued before he came to her home and assaulted her.
Allen grabbed this complainant’s face, pushed her face, repeatedly punched her and during a struggle he grabbed her by the throat and shouted at her before leaving.
This complainant stated that when she was around Allen she could not trust his behaviour and she felt like she was treading on egg shells.

The defendant, who has previous convictions with offences including harassment, battery and breaching a restraining order, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order and to committing assault.
Defence barrister Stephen Welford said Allen struggles to control his temper and lacks empathy and understanding but he currently has a new partner and he is family orientated.
Judge Wright told Allen: “It’s clear you are a man who has no compunction harassing and assaulting women with whom you have had a relationship.
"Non-custodial sentences have been tried with you but have failed.”
Judge Wright sentenced Allen to 12 months of custody and made him subject to a restraining order for 10 years.
