Sheffield Crown Court heard on November 24 how Lee Wragg, aged 43, of Deer Park View, Stannington, Sheffield, stole tools in March from a building on Fulwood Road, Sheffield, which was being converted into flats and he also stole hundreds of pounds of possessions from someone’s home in October.

Joseph Bell, prosecuting, said: “He smashed the window of the Old Coach House which is being converted into a number of flats and once he had gained access he stole building tools.”

Mr Bell added Wragg also raided a home on Stephen Lane, Grenoside, Sheffield, by smashing a glass panel in a door and tampering with the lock and he left a trail of boot prints and a smear of blood near the porch.

Wragg, who has previous convictions, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary and admitted failing to attend court on October 30.

Dermott Huges, defending, said Wragg has suffered with drug-abuse and had lost access to his methadone prescription.
