Police release picture of a drug-dealer who was caught at a Doncaster park "notorious for drug use"

Zico Oldham, aged 20, was spotted by police after he had been approached by two individuals at the park, on Wath Road, Mexborough, according to a Sheffield Crown Court hearing.
Brian Outhwaite, prosecuting, told the hearing on December 8: “They entered the park on Wath Road after a report from another police officer of a male acting suspiciously at that location. The area, I am told by police, is known for a high-level of drug-related activity.”

Hide AdThe two officers noticed two individuals going towards Oldham and he spoke to them and as he walked away the officers approached the defendant, according to Mr Outhwaite.
Mr Outhwaite said police recovered two wraps of drugs from Oldham’s hand and other wraps from his pockets valued at £610 which included cocaine and diamorphine otherwise known as heroin.
Oldham, of Oak Dean Street, Manchester, who has no previous convictions, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply and to possessing diamorphine with intent to supply after the incident on November 20, 2019.
Joy Merriam, defending, said there was a suggestion Oldham had become involved in the offending due to immaturity, naivety and exploitation but he does not seek to blame anyone.

Hide AdJudge Roger Thomas QC told Oldham: “You chose to become a drug-dealer. You did so in a park in Mexborough which is seemingly notorious for drug-use.”
He sentenced Oldham to 27 months of custody.
