Police release footage of men after 101-year-old war veteran was burgled in Sheffield

Police have released footage of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the burglary of a 101-year-old WW2 veteran in the Gleadless area of Sheffield.

Shortly after 3am, on Sunday April 26, two unknown men reportedly entered the elderly man’s home in Basegreen, Sheffield, while the victim was upstairs in bed.

The two men are then understood to have left the property just minutes later with a television and a hoover.

The family of the victim spoke to The Star about the impact the burglary had on him.

Investigating Officer Amy Lees said: “This was obviously a very distressing incident for the elderly man and his family. Any information that could help our enquiries really is appreciated.

“We are keen to speak to both men pictured in the footage and question them in connection with the incident. Please get in touch if you recognise them.”
