Police release E-fit in probe into arson attacks in Rotherham

An E-fit has been released of a man wanted by police over a spate of arson attacks in Rotherham.

The four offences were all committed in and around Rawmarsh over the last month and police believe the man they have a description of could hold vital information.

On Tuesday, May 26 a black Peugeot was set alight in George Place and in the early hours of Monday, June 1 a Vauxhall Zafira was torched on Brameld Road.

There were another two vehicles set alight on Brameld Road on Friday, June 5 and Friday, June 12.

One was a Nissan Quashqui and the other was a Peugeot van.

Both were targeted in the early hours.

Sergeant John Morris, of South Yorkshire Police, said: “We are treating the arsons as a priority and we are determined to find those responsible.
