Police probe into spate of burglaries across Sheffield

Police in Sheffield are investigating a spate of burglaries committed in the city over recent days.

In one raid the offender smashed a window at the back of the house to gain entry.

Police said the culprit then stole cash, a laptop computer and a BlackBerry device from the property on Ashfurlong Road, Dore.

A laptop was also stolen following a break-in on Stalker Lees Road, Sharrow Vale.

Officers are also investigating the theft of a bike from Highfield Place, Highfield, and attempted burglaries on Lupton Road, Lowedges, and Delf Street, Lowfield.
