POLICE have issued a new appeal for information to help them catch arsonists responsible for setting fire to a DIY store in Worksop.
Firefighters dealt with the blaze at Wickes in Babbage Way at 11.15pm on Saturday September 17.
Flames damages the side and front and a section of the shop remains closed.
A number of made calls to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service to alert crews to the blaze and police have managed to speak to all but two of them.
Officers want the callers to make contact with them in case they hold vital information about the incident.
PC Rebecca Withell, from Worksop CID, said: “We know that several people saw the store on fire that night, some of whom have not given their account to police.
“Witnesses may well have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area immediately before.
“They could have seen the person who committed this crime and may be able to give us vital information to help us bring this person to justice.
“I urge them to call police and tell us what they know.”
