SHEFFIELD United fans have been praised for their behaviour after their team was relegated last weekend.
The Blades went down from the Championship to League One on Saturday after their 2-2 draw with Barnsley.
But despite their disappointment police said there were only a couple of ‘minor incidents’ officers had to deal with, which led to two arrests.
Polcie also used Section 27 dispersal powers to order another four fans to leave an area.
Chief Inspector Richard Butterworth, who led the policing operation in and around Bramall Lane, said: “There were no major problems and considering the disappointment of the SUFC fans the game went very well.
“There were a couple of minor incidents, and as a result, four Section 27 notices were issued and two people were arrested, one on suspicion of criminal damage and another arrested for affray.
“Both men are currently on police bail.”
