Police patrol Barnsley to prevent theft of high value cars

Police patrols in Barnsley are being carried out to deter thieves from stealing high value cars.

South Yorkshire Police said officers have taken to the streets following burglaries where ‘high value vehicles’ were targeted.

Officers found a Ford Fiesta, which was abandoned after a police chase in Goldthorpe, and a stolen Volkswagen Golf, which failed to stop and rammed into a police car in Darfield.

A stolen Range Rover was seized in Bolton-upon-Dearne.
