Police name man at centre of Sheffield murder probe as Lee Phillips

A man whose death triggered a murder probe in Sheffield has been named as Lee Phillips.

The 45-year-old died following a reported assault in the High Green area of Sheffield in the early hours of Saturday, January 30.

He was found seriously injured on South Road shortly after 1am and died en-route to hospital.

Three people arrested on suspicion of murder – two men, aged 31 and 25, and a 19-year-old woman – remain on police bail pending further enquiries.
