POLICE have named one of two motorcyclists killed in separate collisions in South Yorkshire over the weekend.
Charles Hollis, aged 53, was travelling along the A631 from Tickhill towards Maltby at around 5.15pm on Saturday when he was involved in a head-on smash with a blue Citroen Xsara.
He was overtaking a blue Peugeot 206 at the time of the collision, was thrown from his bike, and landed on the roof of a blue BMW Mini.
A statement issued by his relatives said: “Charles will be greatly missed by family and friends.”
The previous day a 47-year-old biker from Darton, who has not yet been named, was fatally injured in a collision on Darton Lane, when a blue Mazda turned into the road from Pye Avenue.
