Police make new arrest over murder of Jordan Marples-Douglas in Sheffield

A third arrest has been made in connection with the death of Jordan Marples-Douglas in Sheffield.

A 22 year-old man was arrested this morning (June 25) in Derbyshire on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He is the third arrest in connection to the murder.

Police were called to a property on Woodthorpe Road on Friday, March 6 after reports that Mr Marples-Douglas, 23, had been found with multiple stab wounds.

He died at the scene a short time later.

Earlier this year on March 12, Ben Jones, 25, of no fixed abode, was charged with the murder of Mr Marples-Douglas.

He is currently remanded in prison awaiting trial at Sheffield Crown Court.

A 21-year old Sheffield woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender is currently on police bail.

Detectives are continuing to appeal for information and witnesses as part of their investigation- call 101 quoting incident number 856.
