Police make fourth arrest after Sheffield shooting

Police have arrested a fourth person in connection with a shooting in Sheffield.

Detectives investigating a firearms discharge in Meersbrook on Friday 10 January arrested a 42-year-old woman on Monday (20 January) on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. She has since been released on bail.

It is not known if she is the same 42-year-old woman arrested on the same day in connection with the shooting of a 12-year-old boy in Arbourthorne.

Her arrest brings the total number of arrests linked to this incident to four as enquiries continue.

Officers were called to Northcote Avenue in Meersbrook at 10.55pm on Friday 10 January, where they found evidence of a firearms discharge at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Two men, aged 28 and 31, arrested last week were released due to insufficient evidence, while a 30-year-old man was released on bail.
