Police have issued a warning that anyone found riding an unlicensed motorbike off-road in a public place should expect to have it seized.

The warning came from the Sheffield North East Police Team, which covers Burngreave, Brightside and Shiregreen, Firth Park, Southey and Ecclesfield.

Inspector Richard Burgess said: “If you intend to ride a licensed or unlicensed motorcycle off-road in a public place, you can expect to have the vehicle seized.

“Sheffield Council give no authority for the riding of vehicles in any parks, woodland or wasteland.”
