THIS is the face of a sinister sex attacker wanted for two allegations of assault - reported to have been committed more than two decades apart.
A 39-year-old woman has approached police to say she was sexually assaulted in October 2009.
The woman has told detectives the attack happened during broad daylight in the Cobnar Road and Chesterfield Road area of Woodseats in Sheffield.
And now officers are also investigating to see if there are any links between the recent assault and another allegation, which dates back to August 1985.
The woman said the 2009 attacker was white, muscular, with a tattoo of a creature - possibly a scorpion or a swallow - on his right forearm.
He was aged 45 to 50, with a tanned complexion, a thin mouth, brown eyes and short brown hair which was greying at the sides.
Officers are looking at possible links with an incident in The Dale, also in Woodseats, which is said to have occurred 14 years earlier.
Detective Chief Inspector Zaf Ali today urged anyone with information about either of the alleged sex attacks to contact police.
He said: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information to come forward and speak to us in confidence.”
n Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020 quoting incident number 626 of March 14, 2011.
Crimestoppers can also be contacted on 0800 555 111.
