Police issue CCTV appeal after couple attacked with knife in South Yorkshire

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a man was stabbed in Rotherham while out with his girlfriend.

The victim and his partner were allegedly walking along St Ann’s Road, near to the MyPlace youth centre, in the early hours of 22 May when they were approached by an unknown man who verbally abused them and threatened to hurt their dog.

The suspect then stabbed the man in his left arm with a knife before he fled the scene.

Officers have carried out extensive enquiries to locate the man involved, but are now asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the CCTV images from that evening in connection to the incident.
