Police are hunting a woman over the theft of a suitcase from a train.
The woman, who officers believe could hold vital information about the theft, got off the Doncaster to Manchester Picadilly train at Sheffield on the day the case went missing.
PC Emma Williamson, of British Transport Police, said: “A woman, who was travelling with another female on the service, got up from her seat near the door and removed a grey travel case from the luggage rack.
“The case belonged to a 23-year-old woman from Doncaster, and contained a number of personal items.
“Both women are believed to have then left the train at Sheffield.”
“After reviewing CCTV we are now releasing this image in the hope that someone may recognise the woman pictured. Do you know her identity or current whereabouts?”
The case was taken between 7pm and 7.20pm on Friday, February 21.
