Police hunt sex attacker in Sheffield

Detectives in Sheffield are searching for a man accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a woman.

A 28-year-old woman reported being attacked on East Bank Road, Arbourthorne, on Wednesday night.

Police sealed the area off and carried out a forensic examination of the area.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to East Bank Road at around 8.25pm on Wednesday.

“An investigation was launched involving resources including the force helicopter. Enquiries are now being handled by South Yorkshire Police’s specialist rape team.

“No arrests have as yet been made.”
