Police hunt man wanted in connection with attempted murder of woman in Barnsley

Police are appealing for the public to help find a man who is wanted in connection with an attempted murder in Barnsley and other offences.

Officers are currently searching for Thomas Count, 21, over the attempted murder of a woman in her 20s in the Wombwell area of Barnsley which was reported to police on December 14.

He is also wanted over reported offences of threats to commit criminal damage and making off without payment.

Count is believed to frequent the Wombwell, Hoyland and Kendray areas of the town.

He is described as having an unkempt beard and tattoos on his left hand, one which reads the word ‘king’ and another which is an inking of a crown.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 397 of December 21.
